ACTIVITY PHILOSOPHY
Norway's outdoor lifestyle is called friluftsliv. Our goal is to make this lifestyle accessible to everyone and inspire our guests to explore more.
Activities in rugged landscapes, on sparkling water or through winter wonderlands are the essential elements of our programmes. A unique experience and a sense of freedom with room for reflection are the results. A less-is-more vision is central to our philosophy.
We work on a small scale and personally so that we can tailor our programme to your previous experience and individual goals or wishes. Our trips are exclusively for you, your family, and friends, so you will know everyone with whom you travel unless we have agreed otherwise together. It is possible for solo travellers to take part in the activity alone or in a group with other solo travellers. People with disabilities and special needs can count on us to take on activities they never thought were possible
During our activities, our guides share their passion for the outdoors and look to pass this on to our clients for their own future adventures. By doing what we love, we always strive to meet and exceed the expectations of our guests.
SUSTAINABILITY APPROACH
In terms of nature, climate and society, we aim to be a responsible company.
Our approach is always centered on no-trace adventures, and if we encounter ocean plastic or other trash during our activities, we take responsibility to collect it.
While our activities themselves have a low footprint, we are aware that transport to the activities is part of the climate problem and we encourage our guests to be considerate of travel and flight counts. The equipment we purchase for our activities is often second-hand and we ensure that it is well-maintained. Meals served during trips are chosen so that they equate to a low greenhouse gas footprint.
As part of our societal efforts, we place great importance on the ethics of outdoor activities, including advocating for Allemansretten, which we see as both a right and a duty. This also involves promoting responsible wildlife observation, fostering positive relationships with the communities we engage with, and collaborating with local businesses to create mutual value. Our community involvement includes volunteering with the Norwegian Trekking Association, where we serve as guides and advisors. It goes without saying that our guiding approach fully complies with all relevant regulations.
As far as our social approach is concerned, we believe that we charge a fair price. Families receive a 25% discount and we don't charge extra for those travelling alone. We also organize a number of free activities yearly for disadvantaged groups.
