OVERVIEW
The course is case-based and involves a lot of practical training in small groups outdoors. Special attention is given by the instructors to making the course entertaining, relevant, and memorable.
In two parts, the course covers illness and injury that may occur on a trip.
The first part covers unconscious people, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, foreign bodies in the throat, heart attacks, strokes, and hypothermia.
First aid for falls and fractures, bleeding, burns, allergies, and diabetes will be covered in part 2.
Each part includes patient examination, notification, and first aid equipment you should bring on a trip. Those interested in improving their ability to manage groups in an emergency can practice with tailored scenarios.

PRICES
The price for individual participants is 1100 NOK per part. This course can be ordered by groups for 6500 NOK per part.
GRADE
The first aid course is designed for people without previous knowledge of first aid and for those seeking a refresher on their existing skills.
GROUP SIZE AND GUIDES
There is a maximum of 10 participants and a guide ratio of 1:5.
LOCATION
The course is usually held in a cabin in natural surroundings, where participants can exercise outside and then elaborate inside.
DURATION
The two parts can be booked together or separately. Each part takes three hours.
INSTRUCTORS
In addition to their extensive experience as tour guides, Stijn Van de Velde and Kriki De Smet have taught first aid for many years. Kriki is a certified Wilderness First Responder and teaches first aid at an upper secondary school. Stijn his work in first aid research includes the writing of several first aid manuals.
