OVERVIEW

We help you to develop your overall sea kayak skills by offering personal skills training from expanding your paddle stroke toolbox to boat handling in dynamic environments (wind, waves and rock gardens).

  • Improve the basic kayaking strokes & efficient use of paddle strokes

  • Improve boat handling and understanding of the dynamic environments

During the course we willl work on any aspect of your personal paddling skills you want to develop. This will allow you to become a more confident and self-sufficient sea kayaker.

We work in small groups, which allows for more individual coaching and feedback . All our courses are tailored to each participants level and needs.

PRICES

Personal skills coaching: evening/half day (3 hours): 1100 NOK. One day course: 1600 NOK. Two days course: 3000NOK.

GRADE

You must be proficient in paddling a sea kayak on quiet waters to take the course.

GROUP SIZE AND GUIDES

The group is limited to 6 persons with a 1:6 or 1:3 guide ratio depending on the course focus. The instructors are sea trained and regcognised by NPF (Norwegian Canoe Association) British Canoeing and the International Sea Kayak Guide Alliance (ISKGA).

LOCATION

Depending on your needs and preferences, we will choose a location for this course.

DURATION

These courses can be organised over 3 hours to 2 days.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In bad weather, the arranged activity will continue regardless. If the weather conditions are dangerous, the instructor will cancel the activity. If no alternative is found, Norvantur will refund the registration.

SAFETY

Our outdoor activities have a minimal risk to our participants. At Norvantur, we are trained to assess the risks and trained in rescue techniques and first aid. Severe or extreme conditions are not part of our program.

CANCELLATION

In case of cancellation by the participant, we charge cancellation costs. These cancellation costs depend on the number of days remaining until the start of the activity. Participants cannot claim compensation in case of cancellation due to ‘force majeure’. In case of cancellation of the activity by Norvantur, the full registration sum will always be refunded. For safety reasons it may be necessary to change the program during the activity.
