OVERVIEW

Winter trekking requires good planning and a little bit of good fortune, but you get the experience of a lifetime in return with magical moments and stunning scenery that you’ll never forget.

We ski or snowshoe through spectacular scenery on all sides and deep untouched snow with our packed pulkas. Sometimes the cold bites the nose and cheeks, other times we enjoy the spring sun. In the evening we make a snow sofa and warm ourselves with hot soup by the campfire, before we settle in cosy sleeping bags in our winter tent.

We awake to the prospect of a new day in an enchanting environment. For trips with families, we build igloos, snow holes and slides and we can provide all the equipment for ice fishing too.

PRICES

A half-day trip costs 1000 NOK per person. Day trips cost 1500 NOK per person. The price for longer excursions is 1900 NOK / 24h per person, On all our prices, we offer a 25% discount for families. Meals can be included for an extra fee.

GRADE

The excursions are aimed at young and old with any experience and always tailored to our guests.

The trips can be undertaken individually, as a family or in a small group

DURATION

This activity can be organised as a half day (3h)- or full day (6h) or as a multi-day trip.

LOCATION

The half-day activities involve adventures in the immediate area around Oslo. Day-trips include more extensive activities or activities in a wider area around Oslo. Multi-day trips can be organised anywhere in Norway.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In bad weather, the arranged activity will continue regardless. If the weather conditions are dangerous, of if there is not sufficient snow, the instructor will cancel the activity. If no alternative is found, Norvantur will refund the registration.

SAFETY

Our outdoor activities have a minimal risk to our participants. At Norvantur, we are trained to assess the risks and trained in rescue techniques and first aid. Severe or extreme conditions are not part of our program.

CANCELLATION

In case of cancellation by the participant, we charge cancellation costs. These cancellation costs depend on the number of days remaining until the start of the activity. Participants cannot claim compensation in case of cancellation due to ‘force majeure’. In case of cancellation of the activity by Norvantur, the full registration sum will always be refunded. For safety reasons it may be necessary to change the program during the activity.

COVID-19

If you cannot participate to booked activities due to travel restrictions such as border closures, flight suspensions, quarantine, you can postpone the activity or ask for a refund of any pre-payments.
