ACCIDENTS, DAMAGES AND INSURANCE
Norvantur attaches great importance to safety and accident prevention, but during our trips into the wild there is a certain risk of accidents. Participants take part voluntarily in our activities and at their own risk. Norvantur guides its participants in a professional manner and the guides are trained to recognize risks and to tackle problem situations appropriately. The supervisors are certified in first aid and always have a first aid kit with them.
Each participant is responsible for his or her own safety. Norvantur's supervisors do everything possible to alert participants to potential dangers and to inform participants how to deal with the risks. Safety instructions are given at the start of the activity. During the activity, participants must follow all instructions from supervisors. If these instructions are not followed, Norvantur cannot be held liable for damage or injury. To participate in kayak or canoe activities it is necessary to wear an approved life jacket. Kayak and canoe are water sports and the participants will get wet.
Participants in Norvantur's activities require their own insurance for injury or equipment damage. Norvantur does not take out insurance for its participants. In case of any damage before / during or after the activity, participants must have their own insurance. Norvantur recommends that participants review the terms and conditions of their travel accident insurance and whether additional insurance is required.
Norvantur is in no way liable for damage, loss or theft of property or for personal damage to participants or third parties. In the event that Norvantur is held liable for errors or negligence, Norvantur has professional liability insurance that covers any damage to equipment or persons.
MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS
If illness, medication use or physical conditions pose a risk to the activity, participants must notify Norvantur in advance.
